Cross Villa, Templeton, Narberth, Pembrokeshire

Niko’s Wine Bar @ Cross Villa, Templeton. Positioned prominently on the A478 immediately at the bottom of Templeton Hill, Niko's Wine Bar is difficult to miss. Known as Cross Villa this old Templeton house was near derelict and had been on sale for 7 years when, in 2006 Terry and Lynn Davies seeing it's unrealised potential, bravely bought it and set about converting it into their family home and business. Terry and Lynn moved from Milford Haven where Lynn had lived all her life. Initially they created a thriving Bed and Breakfast business with five en suite bedrooms and a small café/tea room to accommodate Lynn’s passion for catering; promoting their developing menu with the strap line “from cake to steak”. For a while Lynn and Terry balanced their business at Cross Villa with work as foster carers and Terry also continuing his property maintenance business. Then in November last year having given up the fostering work, they made the big decision to step up a gear. Temporarily closing the business at Cross Villa to transform it into a warm welcoming destination for intimate lunches, romantic suppers and a great place to call by for a drink with friends, they named their new venture after their 9 month old grandson. Niko's wine bar was born.

That's what you'll find at Hidden Valley Yurts. Set in 80 acres of meadow and woodland, our beautiful Mongolian yurts await you. Book now “I thoroughly recommend Hidden Valley Yurts. It is so much out of the way of busy lives, it is a great place to switch off and enjoy what is important in life.” Gareth H, Trip Advisor In a secluded valley, invisible to the outside world, lies Hidden Valley Yurts at Lower Glyn Farm. Our 5 Mongolian yurts (3 for 7 people and 2 for 5 people) stretch along the top of a beautiful, south-facing meadow alongside a stream. Step through one of the brightly coloured doors of these innovative homes and you’ll find they are light, cosy and warm. Lovingly decked out with beds, chairs, lights, rugs and wall-hangings each yurt is equipped with a wood-burning stove with kindling and wood for fuel. Inside the muffled confines of the sheep’s wool felt lining, each yurt feels intensely private. Comfortable and unique they entreat you to curl up and unwind, having spent the day wandering around the magical woodland, wildflower-peppered meadows and fields belonging to the farm’s 80 acres. Outside, you can relax on your own decking with ample seating and stunning views. A large communal kitchen and bathroom area boasts the kind of veranda that would make Gone-With-The-Wind-type southerners jealous, and provides just the spot for whiling away evenings watching the sunset or playing a board game. Below there’s a boules pitch, badminton net, campfire area, wood-burning pizza oven, safari style dining tent and chicken run where you may collect fresh eggs each day. Within easy reach of Monmouth, Tintern, Raglan, Usk, Chepstow and other notable spots along the picturesque Wye Valley, Hidden Valley Yurts is a well-located base for taking in the kind of sites that made the likes of Wordsworth and Turner produce masterpieces. Y Goeden Eirin - Dolydd - Caernarforn - Wales

Y Goeden Eirin - Dolydd - Caernarforn - Wales

Y Goeden Eirin is situated in the hamlet of Dolydd between Bontnewydd and Groeslon in Gwynedd. It was originally a granite cowshed belonging to Hendre Farm, but it was sympathetically renovated as a dwelling house at the beginning of the nineteen eighties. A very successful small licensed restaurant was run there by the present owners for a few years, but the house was then sold, and ceased to be a restaurant. It was bought back once more by the original owners in 2003, and this year we decided to offer bed and breakfast as well as an evening meal for residents and non-residents in our licensed dining room. Eluned and John Rowlands offer a personal welcome to visitors from around the globe in their home which has a thoroughly Welsh atmosphere and where Welsh is the lingua franca.
