Niko’s Wine Bar @ Cross Villa, Templeton.
Positioned prominently on the A478 immediately at the bottom of Templeton Hill, Niko's Wine Bar is difficult to miss.

Known as Cross Villa this old Templeton house was near derelict and had been on sale for 7 years when, in 2006 Terry and Lynn Davies seeing it's unrealised potential, bravely bought it and set about converting it into their family home and business.

Terry and Lynn moved from Milford Haven where Lynn had lived all her life. Initially they created a thriving Bed and Breakfast business with five en suite bedrooms and a small café/tea room to accommodate Lynn’s passion for catering; promoting their developing menu with the strap line “from cake to steak”.

For a while Lynn and Terry balanced their business at Cross Villa with work as foster carers and Terry also continuing his property maintenance business. Then in November last year having given up the fostering work, they made the big decision to step up a gear. Temporarily closing the business at Cross Villa to transform it into a warm welcoming destination for intimate lunches, romantic suppers and a great place to call by for a drink with friends, they named their new venture after their 9 month old grandson. Niko's wine bar was born.

All the work was carried out by Terry and son-in-law ? under the watchful eye of Lynn who had the overall design clearly set in her mind. Hand picked pieces of furniture with a French Louis XIV feel were sought and found from all over the UK. The tables and chairs are all individual and carefully crafted to create a retro and upcycled appearance. A beautiful funky bar was created out of wine barrels, 1920's Champagne racks were used to decorate the rear of the bar and were also adapted into window shutters. On one wall a mural depicting an idyllic french street-scene sets the atmosphere.
