Welcome to Lower Lamphey Park
Trawsfynydd has been an important resting place for travellers since the Bronze Age when, due to its proximity to the ancient trading route, travellers to and from Ireland came en-route to Wiltshire which, in those days, was the cultural centre of Britain. The many cairns, megaliths, roundhouses and hut enclosures in the area provide evidence of prehistoric settlements while three miles north of the village, at Tomen y Mur, Roman remains can be seen.
We sleep 19 people in three double rooms and two family rooms (one with a wet room – suitable for wheelchair users – and the other one with two bedrooms). We have ample car parking in the courtyard. Our guest rooms, which are well heated, are all on the ground floor. Each room has its own TV, hospitality tray and en-suite bath or shower room. Individual front doors allow freedom of access, without disturbing other guests, so late arrivals are no problem. It’s also useful if the dog needs to go out in the middle of the night!
Full Welsh breakfast is served in the farmhouse between 8a.m. and 9a.m. Guests who wish to be away earlier than this are welcome to have a tray in their room with a toaster, bread, butter, jam, marmalade, orange juice, cereals, milk and a piece of fruit.
Fresh milk is available for tea and coffee in your room. Please ask at the farmhouse.
